The following are the seminars I have been doing for District TELIs and Conferences. These have all been very popular in helping to build stronger clubs in the Districts:
"Building
A Championship Club" This is the program I
delivered at the 2006 Toastmasters International Convention
in Washington DC. I go over many of the successful actions
we developed in my home club to build it to 95 members and
the #4 in the world. This has been very popular and the
feedback has helped the Districts by giving the Club
leadership some good workable information on how to build
stronger clubs.
"Effective
Speech Evaluation" Since strong clubs are
built on excellent speech evaluation, I put together a 1
hour seminar on the subject which includes evaluation
guidelines, an evaluation worksheet and presentation
outline. I am a 3x Speech Evaluation Contest winner in
District 52. This too has been popular and addresses an
area many clubs need to develop to keep their members
advancing and improving.
"Losing
My Way to the World Championship" This
seminar addresses how to get the most out of being in
Toastmasters. I walk people through many of the lessons I
learned by pushing myself and making my mistakes in
Toastmasters which lead to much of my success in both
winning the WCPS and success outside of Toastmasters. I give
people the understanding that Toastmasters is a learning
environment and they need to continue to challenge
themselves, complete manuals, do the programs and not become
complacent because they completed a Competent Communicator.
"Finding
Your Voice" This is a new seminar that
addresses the practical steps to finding messages within
you, that are connected to you and that you believe in.
From the feedback, this has very been beneficial to
improving Toastmasters' abilities to connect their message
with their audience.
"Mastering Your
Speech" In this seminar I take the audience
through the steps to of topic selection, structure and
writing, humor, speech development, drilling and
practicing a speech to either create a contest winning
speech or a winning speech for use in the real world.
All of my seminars are full of simple applicable tips and information that anyone can apply. I am more than happy to help with any of your District TLI's, Spring or Fall Conferences or special events.
